Loctite 2701 - Threadlocker - 50ml

LOCTITE® 2701 is a green, high-strength, low-viscosity anaerobic threadlocking adhesive designed for the permanent locking and sealing of threaded metal fasteners. It cures when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces in the absence of air, helping prevent loosening caused by vibration, shock and thermal cycling. 

Its high-strength formulation is particularly suitable for permanent assemblies where disassembly for routine maintenance is not normally required. LOCTITE 2701 is also designed for excellent performance on chromated surfaces and can tolerate slight contamination from industrial oils.

How It Works

After application to the threaded fastener, LOCTITE 2701 remains liquid while exposed to air. When the fastener is assembled, the adhesive becomes confined between the metal threads. The resulting anaerobic reaction cures the material and forms a strong polymeric bond that locks the threads in position.
